About Alexander County Partnership for Children ( ACPC )

We are a nonprofit organization established in 1993 with the goal of coordinating a local demonstration project to provide ongoing analyses of the local needs that must be met in Alexander County.

Our mission is to ensure that the developmental needs of children ages 0-5 are met in order to prepare them to begin school healthy and ready to succeed.

We have a devoted team of professional and knowledgeable staff and are funded
through Smart Start Funds, Private Contributions and Grant Sources.

ACPC has a dedicated Board of Directors and is committed to the children, families, and child care providers of Alexander County. Fact: Children who are better prepared for school, perform better and learn more.

By working to ensure that every child enters school healthy and prepared for success, Smart Start is helping to ensure the educational foundation for North Carolina children.

ACPC Board of Directors meets the 4^th Tuesday of every month at 12:30 p.m. at ACPC.

 ACPC Executive Committee meets bi-monthly: the 2^nd Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at ACPC.

 All meetings of the Alexander County Partnership for Children are conducted in accordance with Article 33C of Chapter 143 of the General Statutes, the Open Meeting Law, and Chapter 132 of the General Statutes, the Public Records Law.
