The Alexander County Partnership for Children demonstrates success by achieving outcomes that support our mission to ensure that every child in Alexander County enters school healthy and ready to succeed. This success is achieved with community support which is evident in a focused and conscientious board of directors, dedicated staff, mission driven direct service providers and committed and professional child care providers. Alexander County Partnership for Children (ACPC), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1993, is committed to building and supporting programs within the community to ensure that children are a priority. Funding sources for ACPC include Smart Start, NC Division of Child Development, United Way of Alexander County, private contributions and grant sources. The ACPC Board meets at the partnership office on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 12:30 pm.

Parent Support Group - January 19 - 6:00 pm
Parents of children with special needs will have a meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 6:00 pm-Alexander County Partnership Office. This will be a meeting to make plans for upcoming meetings and the network with other parents. The Exceptional Children's Assistance Center (ECAC) out of Davidson will be joining us to share information. Established in 1983, ECAC offers a variety of projects and services designed to meet the needs of NC parents, families, students, educators, and other professionals. The Food Program from Guilford Child Development Program will present an exciting program on anti-oxidants-their benefits and incorporation of anti oxidants in a child's diet. Call Vickie Vinson at the Partnership office-828.632.3799 to register.

From Hickory: Take NC Hwy 16 North to NC Hwy 64 West exit. Continue on Hwy 64 West. At the second stoplight turn right on Hwy 90 East. Travel ½ mile. Alexander County Partnership for Children will be on your right.

From Statesville: Take NC Hwy 64 West. Continue on 64 West until you reach the intersection for Hwy 90 East. Turn right on Hwy 90 East. Travel ½ mile. Alexander County Partnership for Children will be on your right.

From Wilkesboro: Take NC Hwy 16 South. At first stoplight in Taylorsville, Main Street, turn right on Hwy 90 West. Travel 1½ miles. Alexander County Partnership for Children will be on your left.

From Lenoir: Take NC Hwy 18 North to Hwy 64/90 East. Continue on 90 East. At stoplight turn left on Hwy 90 towards downtown Taylorsville. Travel ½ mile. Alexander County Partnership for Children will be on your right.
